Makalu base camp trekking(eastern part of nepal)

Makalu base camp trekking Itinerary

Makalu-Barun National Park, a virtually uninhabited 1500-km² area of Eastern Nepal, is very close to virgin wilderness. This remote terrain stretches East from Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) National Park, between the high plateau of Tibet and the deep subtropical gorge carved by the Arun River. There are spectacular views of rugged Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Makalu (8463m), fifth highest in the world, Mt. Chamlang (7319 m) and Mt. Baruntse (7129m). Within 40 kms from these high peaks the topography descends to the Arun River at 670m. The Makalu-Barun Valley provides stunning contrasts, where high waterfalls cascade into deep gorges, craggy rocks rise from lush green forests, and colorful flowers bloom beneath white snowy peaks.
This unique landscape shelters some of the last pristine mountain ecosystems on earth. Rare species of animals and plants flourish in diverse climates and habitats, relatively undisturbed by mankind. Over 3000 species of flowering plants, 440 species of birds, and 75 species of mammals, including the endangered Clouded Leopard, Red Panda, and Musk Deer, have been recorded. This remarkable biodiversity is considered to be of global significance and provides a living laboratory for international scientific research.

The Barun Valley is part of a huge international protected area under an agreement between Nepal and China. The trek crosses several high passes as it climbs into the remote Barun Valley at the foot of Makalu, the world's fifth highest mountain, providing a splendid venue for the more adventurous nature lovers. If you are looking to combine an unparalleled nature walk with some strenuous hiking, this is your trek.

LOWER DOLPO TREK
The focal point of the Dolpo area is Shey Phoksundo National Park. The east and south of it is bordered by the Dhaulagiri and Chure Himal ranges and to the west by the Jumla district. Trekking to Lower Dolpo offers you the much of the same remarkable and worthwhile experiences as the Upper Dolpo Trek, but it is of shorter duration. The noteworthy features seen on this excursion are the immaculate snowy peaks, ancient and isolated villages, rich wildlife, Buddhist monasteries, and turquoise lakes. The people of this area are simple and warm-hearted with an enthralling culture and ancient heritage. The cultural traditions of this area are basically linked with Tibet. Trekking into this region gives you exposure to the high and isolated Himalayan valleys, which resemble the Tibetan highlands. The major highlight of this trek includes “Shey Phoksundo National Park” which is the largest National Park of Nepal. “Shey Phoksundo Lake” is, for most, the jewel of this region. The lake is totally free of aquatic life, which the crystal clear water clearly explains. Surrounded by rock, forests, and snow-capped peaks, the area has been described as one of the World's “Natural Hidden Wonders”. The trek begins at Juphal and follows the trail to Dunai, then proceeds to Tarakot, way up to Bang La Camp, the highest point of the trek. After passing through Sanu Bheri village, we then descend to the beautiful Phoksundo Lake itself.

Dolpo region has been permitted for trekkers since mid-1989 and located inside the Shey-Phoksundo National Park of mid-western Nepal. The region offers opportunities to visit ancient villages, high passes, beautiful Lakes, isolated Buddhist monasteries and also to experience the vast array of wildlife inhabiting the region, including Blue sheep, Mountain Goat, Jackal, Wolf and the legendary Snow Leopard. Trekkers relatively rarely visit the remote and wild district of Dolpa and yet it offers a wonderful chance to experience the landscape and culture far different from that seen in other parts of the country. This remote and rugged protected area is both scenically and culturally attractive. The trek passes through Shey-Phoksundo National Park for which an entry permit must be achieved in addition to the trekking permit. The lake is quite large being around five kilometers long and one kilometer wide where glaciers enter directly into the lake feed crystal clear waters.

This is pretty much the whole Langtang enchilada, a combination of three beautiful and independent Langtang area treks taking us straight into some of the wildest and most picturesque areas of Nepal. It combines an excursion through the Langtang valley, a side trip through the Helambu region to Gosainkunda Lake, with a return via either the Helambu to Sundarijal, the Melamchi Khola, or the East Ridge of the Melamchi Valley to Melamchi Pul. This adventure gives you a full overview of the entire Langtang Area. Starting from the lovely hill town of Syabru besi, our trek begins through beautiful rhododendron and conifer forests through the Langtang Valley (all in the Langtang National Park) on the way to higher elevations. Our route then leads up to the high alpine yak pastures, glaciers and moraines around Kyanjin. Shortly after this you will leave the Langtang Valley. Here the trail turns south and again enters rhododendron forest and climbs back up up to the alpine yak pastures at Ngegang(4404 m).
DHUNCHE

From Ngegang we make an assent of Ganja La Pass (5122m), if possible (subject to weather conditions). We then trek down to Keldang and Dukpu (4023m), descending past Gekye Gompa to reach Tarke Ghyang. From there we cross into the Helambu region towards the sacred Hindu lake of Gosainkunda (4380 m) via the Laurabina Pass (4610). Our return gives us three options. At Thare Pati we can trek to Sundarijal through the Helambu or go back to to Tarke Gyang and follow the Melamchi Khola south as the trail heads through the lush green Melamchi Khola valley or take the ridgeline to the east, both arriving at Melamchi Pul before the return drive to Kathmandu. On this trek you will have an opportunity to experience the whole range of Himalayan topography and ecosyst

I was been poon hill in 1998 as a assistant for the trekking guide. When i chances the Ghorepani poon hill trekking, i was very curious. Trekking season  actually autumn and spring. Specially spring is very beautiful by the Blossoming the rhododendrons flowers. Everywhere in the jungle of the Ghorepani there are colorful flowers rhododendrons. When i read the quiz book Ghorepani  is the big rhododendrons forest in the world. I further got a chances of the species of the rhododendrons flowers. In the Jungle of the Ghorepani trekking there are 32 species of the Rhododendrons flowers. we drive from Kathmandu to pokhara, stayed one night in pokhara for the trekking in Ghorepani. After that 2 hours driving to the Nayapul starting point of the trekking. From there we crossed small bridge over the brook then continuous trekking to the Birethathi. There was  a permit checking places of the Annapurna poon hill. Then slightly up to the village Hille and Tikhedhunga. I felt so much hungry because Nepalese time there is 10 o'clock launch in the houses but until 11 o'clock there is no food for eat. Very difficultly walling to the sudme which is 20 minutes before to the Hille. After Launch we continuously walking our way to the  Ulleri. Our Guided did not stop to the  Tikhedhunga.
