Annapurna south Expedition

Annapurna south climbing permit, annapurna south climbing Guide, food & Accommodation.

On this expedition we take you well off the beaten trail, on to long, remote mountain ridges, through exposit forest and to visit traditional villages. Views of the Annapurna and the gigantic mass of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre are utterly breathtaking and complement many of our phenomenal campsites during this classic 23 treks and expedition to Annapurna South.
One and half hour drive to Nayapul from Pokhara our walk begins in the lower, more temperate region of forested hillsides such as Magar and Gurung villages. As we move higher through the rhododendron woodlands the views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre are astounding. On reaching Kopra Ridge our campsite is right below Mt. Annapurna 1st. Trails goes up to the sacred lake above Kair, a marvelous alpine experience. We set up the Base Camp for climbing to Mt. Annapurna South. After finishing expedition trek back to Pokhara takes us via Ghorepani and Poon Hill for one of the most famous panoramas point in the Annapurna.
Beside this, there is another route for climb to Annapurna south from east to North West route that trail start from Phedi and Chhomrong Village to Annapurna Base Camp.

Trekking in Nepal

Special projects mountain flight in Nepal
We are happy to handle film teams and certain other projects. We will not touch "youngest" or "oldest" climbers, blind, disabled or other extreme risk projects. We have a separate western leader available.

What is Included?
In Kathmandu
First of all, we pick you up at the international airport and provide a double hotel room as well as provide one big room in the Hotel where you can spread your all gear out, and our store with a huge grassy area is just around the corner. Because we provide all tents, each person each tent while in expedition, oxygen, mask and regulator, daily 3 meals on the mountain etc till Advance base camp, you should be able to get to Kathmandu without extra freight charges (which can be BIG, sometimes). In the main time we will brief you about the expedition.

Tibet
Cultural Treks handle all the paperwork for the Chinese visa, all the Tibet travel and climbing permits. All sightseeing as per programs, Hotels (double rooms), and all transportation by Jeep/Land Cruiser are included in the cost.

Base Camp and ABC
We will fix up a permanent kitchen with cook and helpers, large dining tent and tent for store our rest of gears and food, solar power and or, generator for recharging batteries. We provide 1 BC tent per member (a two-three person tent). We provide 3 hot and good meals; breakfast, lunch, dinner a day and afternoon tea, plus all hot drinks and boiled water for drinking during stay at Base Camp and Advance Base Camp. We will fix up generator (Honda Company) and solar panel in the Advance Base Camp provides 12v, 115v and 230v, so you can charge all digital cameras, video cameras; battery packs AA size batteries for Camera, Torch light, radios and laptops. Just bring your 12v adaptor to charge. We are just small agency and arranging the expedition trip to Himalayas in minimum cost so could not able to provide the email, internet service to our valued member yet due to the expensive cost but we are thinking to provide the email, internet service in the future at ABC. Note that not all laptops work at 5000 meter plus.

Climbing
You must bring your own climbing gears such as rope, boots, and foods for the mountain including gas stoves. Fixed rope charges are not included. The Sherpas are responsible for stocking all the camps; carrying the oxygen, tents, gas and meals. They normally climb separately from the team until the summit push. The Sherpas don't carry your personal gear (but you can pay extra for a personal Sherpa). We climb on the mountain mostly as a team or two with the guide and assistant guide. You can climb up to North Col alone as well though in Everest.

Oxygen
We will provide Poisk oxygen till ABC and its for incase problems for those people who are sick by altitude. So, you can bring your own oxygen, regulator and mask for use above ABC. There are many Oxygen are available in Kathmandu to buy. For C3 to the summit all oxygen is Poisk, factory-new. No refilled. Oxygen for your climbing assistance Sherpa is not include in the cost so you must buy for him separately.

Weather reports
In the base camp we can provide the variety of weather reports, and we subscribe to a paid weather forecast too. Judging the weather is one of the most important issues surrounding climbing Everest, Cho Oyu and Shisapangma.

Emergency evacuation
We have a PAC bag usually stationed at ABC, and emergency oxygen at ABC and BC, plus full medical kits. If you have to leave the mountain early alone or as two people then there will be a charge of in US $ as per our agreement with Chinese travel company, if Everest then US $ 700 charge will be fixed for transportation from BC to Nepal border. If you are a group of three or four then there is unlikely to be a charge but it may be a while before your baggage arrives in Kathmandu.

Medical
We will provide a very comprehensive medical kit at BC and ABC. You should be prepared with a SMALL personal med-kit for on the mountain. Our expedition leader or base camp guide, used to dealing with altitude issues and intestinal problems and other minor medical issues.

Environment
In the base Camp you must have to pay some dollars to Chinese Liaison officer as a group sharing basis for the Garbage deposit but when you returned from the ABC with your mountain garbage then this is our responsibility to refund the paid dollars which you have given to Chinese Liaison officer. Our agency will remove all garbage from ABC to BC, and this includes toilet waste. This is then disposed of by the Chinese Liaison team. However we plan to remove toilet waste from at least North Col too.

Departure
Although, we all travel in together, you can leave separately provided you are 3-4 climbers traveling together. Our office in Kathmandu holds your international tickets and so can arrange flights out to suit as per your earliest request.

Timeline
With Cultural Treks, you must book and pay a US $ 3000 deposit AT LEAST 3 months prior to the expedition start to guarantee the availability of tents, oxygen etc. (You should also book your international flights at least 3 months, and better 6 months in advance).

Insurance
This is your choice. It is sometimes possible to get insurance for 8000m peaks thru your national alpine club; the BMC in the UK and American Alpine Club offer particularly good packages. There is no helicopter rescue possible in Tibet so evacuation is by Landcruiser to Kathmandu, and should cost around US $ 700. There is one particularly good clinic in Kathmandu otherwise the nearest high standard hospital is in Singapore or Bangkok. All our Nepali staff is insured by our agency itself.

Warning
Everest is the highest mountain on the planet and despite some of the publicity it is not 'easy' or even 'straightforward'. It is a very serious peak and bad judgment or even bad luck can be fatal up there. Even with the best companies the risk of death and frostbite is real.

Mt. Shisha Pangma (8,035m.) & Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m.) Expedition

Shisha Pangma Expediton

Shisaha pangma climbing permit, Guide, food and accommodation

Mt. Shisha Pangma is one of the lovely mountain of Tibet, which lies in its autonomous region, known by the Tibetans as “the big grassy field", it is an extremely beautiful and provides awe inspiring vistas along the Himalayan range. Only very few people in the world have an idea about the Shisha Pangma before Chinese opened Tibet to the western summiteers in 1978 A.D. The Tibetans regard it as the holy mountain. It is the youngest among fourteen mountains above 8000m that lies in high Himalayan ranges of Tibet and Nepal.
It is simultaneous the original route as followed by the first western expedition from the year 1978 despite missing larger technical difficulties stunning adventure can be taken, which lets mounting a 8000 meter expect nevertheless with the necessary weather luck and the support of some experienced Sherpas and Mt. Cho Oyu is the most popular 8000m. peak for climbing in Tibet. The mountain would be the best choice for the mountaineers who want to stand on the summit of 8000 meter peak due to its straight forward climbing with minimal objective danger and less technically demanding. Cho Oyu climbing has the higher rate of success than any other 8000m. peak climbing in Nepal & Tibet. We arrange both the logistic support to ABC and fully guided Cho Oyu expedition.
From base camp, we trek to the advance base camp at 5,700m. We climb through steep moraines to a shoulder at 6,400m where cam I is set up. From here we climb up through the ridge and fix rope to climb a 50m high serac barrier split by a ramp to set up the camp II at about 7,000m. The climbing becomes easier and we place our camp III at 7,500m. on the North West face. The summit is a long way at the far end with huge snow fields. We have designed the programs for those people who like to climb both mountains in the same season.

North Col Everest (8,848m.) Expedition

North Col Everest Expedition

Everest Expedition permit cost, itinerary, Climbing Guide and details.

Mt. Everest expedition from Tibet side has become more popular among the mountaineers to make their dream come true to stand on the summit of Mt. Everest. Among the several reasons, low cost of royalty and other basic mountaineering services as well as the easy route to the summit are the key factors to attract more Everest climbers from North Col. than from the South Col of Nepal. There are no easy routes on Everest but we try to put the odds on our side. We take the North Ridge because we consider it to be the safest. Technically, it is more challenging than the South Side but does not have the ice fall danger. Our Advanced Base Camp (6,400m.) is right under the shadow of Changtse and has a view of virtually the whole route. From here we use four more camps, a formula that has brought us considerable success in the past.
Our trip starts from Kathmandu and drives to Kodari, Zhangmu, Nyalam and continue drive to the BC at 5,400m. and from there it is 22 km to the ABC at 6400m by yaks. We put an intermediate camp on the glacier about half way between BC and ABC, so this trip takes two days. From the ABC the route continues up the East Rongbuk glacier to the north of the glacier and then up easy snow slopes to the North Col at 7,000m. where Camp 1 is situated on snow. There is a long reasonably angled snow slope to 7,400m. where I plan to put camp 2 on snow. The route from C2 to C3 is up a series of rock and shingle steps, again all very easy terrain to walk on.
Camp 3 will be at 7,900 m. on rock. From C3 the route traverses across a series of rock steps and then up medium angled snow slopes and then again on mixed rock and snow to the camp 4 at 8400m. This camp is normally on rock, but some years there is snow cover here. There will be a fixed rope from the neve to this point. Although you may not need this to assist with climbing it does, however provide a safety line which is useful when you are tired and when the wind is blowing. This route is traditionally very windy, especially between C2 and C3.
The summit day is from C4. The route is up mixed rock and snow steps to the NE ridge. These steps are quite steep in places and require considerable care especially as you now have all of your bulky clothing and oxygen equipment on.
North East Ridge is quite wide with small steps with little height gain until the First Step. The First Step is a short rock buttress which will be fixed with rope. Above here the climbing is more exposed but again without much height gain until the Second Step. The second step is across a series of small ledges which are sometimes snow covered, then around a large boulder and then up the ladder. Again, all of this section will be fixed with rope. Above this step there is again relatively gentle mixed ground until what is called the Third Step. Although not as serious as the previous steps, there is fixed rope to the Col before the final summit snow slopes. These are quite steep and also have fixed rope to the rock buttress from where there is a short section of corniced ridge to the summit. We have designed itinerary for make this expedition successful joining with other climber in minimum cost.

sightseeing tour in nepal

Sightseeing tour in Nepal

Nepal offers many worth visiting places historically, religiously, ichnographically, culturally and most beautiful photographic views for sightseeing. The Himalayan views, the culture and traditions, the historical monument, art and architecture, religious complex Hindu and Buddhist, peoples and rites, myths and mysteries which are a part of the daily life of the people of Nepal. Kathmandu is the first arrival point for most visitors. Mountains surrounding valley has divided into the three major cities Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. These were seperate different kingdoms till 1768 AD. Today retain their own rich artistic art and architecture styles and traditions. Out of the valley also has other beautiful unexplored destination, sight seeing packages have included some of them. Kathmandu Durbar Square A very old Hindu text has described Kathmandu as the land of gods surrounded by beautiful mountains around. Some two hundred years ago a western visitor wrote that there were as many temples as there were houses and many idols as there were peoples.

Kathmandu Durbar Square :
Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the main attractions in the valley is listed as a World Heritage Site UNESCO. Hanuman Dhoka palace complex consists of a huge Royal Square imposing a tremendous variety of temples dedicated to different Hindu gods and goddess. Most of the buildings we see here date back from 15th to 18th century. Numerous other beautiful temples, shrines, house of the living Goddess, Kastamandap(a house build from the wood of a single tree) and other small temples are scattered everywhere in the square. The main palace building is 9 stories high and anyone can visit to the top and experience panoramic views of the city.
 Patan Durbar Square
Patan Durbar Square is a concentrated mass of temples, the most stunning display of Newari architecture to be seen in Nepal. Listed in World Heritage Site, the former Royal Palace complex is the center of Patan's religious and social life, and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects. One remarkable monument here is a 17th century temple dedicated to the Hindu God Lord Krishna, built entirely of stone.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square:

Bhaktapur Durbar Square is much larger and more spacious than Kathmandu's and much less crowded with temples than Patan. The disasterous earthquake in 1934 destroyed many of the beautiful monuments in the square and are now marked only by empty platforms where they once stood. Some of the most popular monuments golden gate, peacock window and Nyatapola temple are main attractions.
 Swayambhunath :

Swayambhunath is one of the most ancient Stupas in the Kathmandu vally. It lies on the top of the hill in west of the valley. The unique architecture of Swayambhunath is one of the most easily recognizable symbols of Nepal. From here one can enjoy a spectacular view of Kathmandu City. Legend says that ancient times the valley was a lake and it was known as the serpent's lake. Saint Manjushree cut the southern part of the valley and drained the water out. The Swayambhu was the first exit and became most important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists.
 Bouddhanath :

Boudhanath is the largest Buddhist Stupa in Nepal. It is religious center for the Buddhist people. Surrounding the stupa there are many different monasteries belonging to different Buddhist sects. Most of the visitors use go to The Stupa for sightseeing and shopping and Tibetans handicrafts. During the full moon day many Buddhist people come to celebrate and take part in various religious activities.

Pashupatinath :

Pashupatinath is one of the holiest pilgrimage destinations for all Hindus of the world. This temple is dedicated to lord Shiva and one of the oldest temples on the bank of holy Bagmati river. Various religious activities take place here almost everyday. Sadhus (holymen) from many different countries especially from India, visit the temple to pay homage to Lord Shiva. There are Ghats in the bank of Bagmati River, which are rectangular and made of stones. The rectangles are for the cremation of dead bodies and the square ones are for ritual baths.
Museums in Kathmandu One of Nepal's delights is the variety of Museums found in the Kathmandu Valley. As rich as Nepal's unique culture and landscape, these museums provide a fascinating look into Nepal's art, people, history and architecture. They also serve as an enjoyable serene alternative to the vigorous of walking and trekking in the countryside.

Changunarayan Temple :

This temple is situated on a scenic hill top 20km from Kathmandi and 7 km from Bhaktapur. King Hari dutta verma built this temple during the second century according the history . The temple is decorated with magnificent art works made of metal and woodcarvings. This is the finest example of Nepalese pagoda architecture. The inscription at Changunarayan is the oldest recorded in history, dating to the 4th century. History dates back to the Lichhavi period when the Lichhavi king Manadeva installed pillars in 464 AD. The temple is worth visiting to see the architectural and iconography combination. Nagarkot Nagarkot is situated 32 km north east of Kathmandu a popular tourist destination around Kathmandu lies at an altitude of 2175m. It is best place to see the close up panoramic Himalayan views near by Katmandu valley. Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje lakpa, Sishapangma, Gauri shanker are the main views from Nagarkot. When the sun begins to rise from behind the Himalayas looks spectacular as the mountains changes color. Many tourists go to Nagarkot and stay over night to enjoy the scenic beauty of the country side and from Nagarkot one can hike to Changunarayan, Banepa or to Sankhu Vajrayogini too.

Dhulikhel:
Dhulikhel is an ancient small hill town situated 30km away east of Kathmandu. Driving to Dhalikhel is really scenic and beautiful rice field terraces on both sides of the road are spectacular. It is a popular panoramic Himalayan viewpoint, which is also a good starting place for short treks where visitors can stretch their legs before starting for a longer one.
Daman The small village of Daman is an interesting place to see mountains. One can see whole mountain range of 400km from Dhaulagiri to Mt.Everest.Daman lies 2323m above the sea level. It is 85km away south west from Kathmandu and It also one of the most spectacular mountain-bike routes in the world.

Lumbini :
Lumbini is situated about 250km South West of Kathmandu. This place famous for Buddhist pilgrimage because of Lord Buddha birth place in 560 BC. Lumbini is recorded in the pillar inscription 'The Light of Asia' although there is not much to see but the peaceful environment provides you with inner sense of tranquility. In some ways, Tilaurakot, the site of Kapilavastu, the fortress-palace where Buddha was raised as a prince of the royal family is more evocative.

Tansen
Tansen lies 1310m above sea level, at the southern slope of Mahabharat range. It lies on the way from Pokhara to Sunauli and is known as the Siddhartha highway. Tansen city itself is very colorful with its old houses and hill town.
