TIBET CULTURAL TOUR -
Tour Duration: 11 nights / 12 days
Departure: Everyday (April through October)

This tour offers Fly in/ Fly out tour through a circular route from Tsentant to Lhasa of the heart of Tibet. This tour provides you ample opportunity to explore the Yarlung Tsangpo valley, cradle of the Tibetan civilization. By exploring the yarlung Tsangpo valley with a ferry ride across the Tsangpo river, we reach Samye, the oldest monastery belonging to the Red hat school.

We take on to Yumbhulakhang, the first castle built for a tibetan king, through a fertile agricultural valley and tombs of the Tibetan kings, from the seventh century, then we proceed on the southern route via the Yamdrok tso, the turquoise lake, to Gyangtse and Shigatse. Leaving Shigatse, we take the northern route through the scenic, rugged country side of nomads, culmination, then we visit Lhasa.



Itinerary:

Day 01 Your arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Thereafter you will be received by our Airport Representative and transferred to hotel. O/N at Kathmandu hotel.
Day 02 Today you will take extensive sightseeing tour around the valley including Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, Swayambhunathnath stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. O/N at hotel.
Day 03 Fly Kathmandu to Lhasa and transfer to Tsedang. Afternoon sightseeing tour to Yambu Lhakhang and Cha Duk Monastery. O/N at hotel.
Day 04 Visit to Samye Monastery and the valley of cradle of Tibetan civilization. O/N at hotel.
Day 05 Drive to Gyantse via Yamdrok Lake. Later in the afternoon visit Khumbum stupa and Phalkor Monastery. O/N at hotel.
Day 06 Drive to Xigatse. Sightseeing tour of Tashilunpo Monastery and the free market of Xigatse. O/N at hotel.
Day 07 Drive to Lhasa via Northern highway and visit Norbulinka Palace. O/N at hotel.
Day 08 Guided tour of Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. O/N at hotel.
Day 09 Guided tour of Potala Palace & Drepung Monastery.
Day 10 Transfer to Gongar airport for your flight to Kathmandu.
Day 11 Sightseeing tour at Patan & Bhaktapur Durbar Square (Hotel).
Day 12 Departure.

CHINESE VISA & TRAVEL PERMIT:
You are requested to submit us the following passport information at least 20 days before trip departure for visa procedure. At least 2 days before tour commencement, original passports must reach to our office in Kathmandu.

TEMPERATURE & CLOTHING
Tibet will have it's average temperature between 5-20 degree Celsius in the month of April through October. During trekking season, the night temperature in the mountain often falls below freezing. Therefore, you are required to have adequate warm clothes to save from extreme cold. Further, it will be better to dress in layers that can be easily put on & off as required. It is often advisable to carry raincoat because snow or rain can also occur sometimes.
CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES RECOMMENDED:-
Thermal underwear, woolen or silk long sleeve tops & bottoms
Woolen shirts, pullover, pants, socks, hat, gloves & scarves
Down jacket or wind breaker
Good walking boots or shoes
Sun hat, sun glass, suntan lotion, torch light, pen knife
Medicine for common colds, headache, diarrhea & diamox against altitude sickness.
HEALTH
It is necessary to be physically fit & healthy for the participate on Tibet tour. Even if, there is no particular age limit guideline, child below 8 years or elderly people exceeding 70 years or more are not advisable to take participation. Doctor's medical certificate is essential for trip participation. Further more, those who are sufferer of high blood pressure, heart problem or diabetic are not recommending for tour.
INSURANCE
It is most advisable all clients to have full insurance against medical and person accident risk, natural calamities, political instability, etc.
